DDD launches a 360 degrees web showroom for the new C-Class T-Model with full-screen mode
To mark Mercedes-Benz introducing the C-Class T-Model into market at the International Motor Show (IAA), DDD has developed a 360 degrees internet showroom for the new car. The highlight is the full-screen display which allows onlookers to "get to grips" with virtually every nook and cranny of the car without having to endure long load times.
The "360 degrees zoom colorator" for the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class T-Model allows visitors to experience the interior and exterior in fully rotatable fashion. At the same time it is possible to take an up-close and interactive look at all of the fixtures such as different paint jobs and wheel rims, as well as the interior decor, all in the highest picture quality.
The improved quality of the interactive car presentations is made possible by implementing 360 degrees zoom technology developed by DDD and computer-generated images. The high resolution images for each configuration were produced in cooperation with the Sindelfing 3D visualisation specialists MACKEVISION.
These high quality pictures, which beforehand would only have been put to use in costly enthusiast brochures, have enabled Mercedes-Benz to set a new standard among automobile manufacturers for full-screen online automobile viewing.
"The 360 degrees full-screen web showroom has given Mercedes-Benz a pioneering role in the market. The company is the first and only automobile manufacturer to offer customers and enthusiasts alike full-screen, catalogue-quality 3D images and combine it with such individualised internet interactivity", explains Jan-Till Manzius, CEO of DDD.
